The decision is made (german)

Post by mikeb »

Now the impreza has gone for the first time i had no idea what i wonted next. Was it to follow in gerrys foot steps and go kit car, or the next choice was road going evo and go and play against logan,tk,russ etc which i but in the end will just end up like the impreza chasing new ideas and spending shed loads of money just to make up little bits of seconds if i going sprinting with it. So now the decision is made iam going for the e46 m3 wonted csl but just to far out of reach at the moment. So if any one knows of a desent one e46 smg m3 let me know. mikeb

If you really must go german, make sure the indicators work and the steering doesn't keep pulling to the right.

Much prefer this one

Ap's, remap and Miltek system are a few of the highlights.

I happen to think it's a great idea Mike. With the often mentioned MX-5 tucked away for those one make sprints/racing/Spa trips, an M3 could be the perfect day to day car

Get some straight pipes and it could sound like this too

looks like ive found one in estoril blue guy ive spoke to sounds ok a bit of a annorack which is good only thing 3 hours away going to see it saturday. The m3 will be my sprint car as well not getting rid of the x5, with a few mods going to go after the porsches, but will have to remember the rear wheels are doing the driving. So there maybe a few spins at first. As for the mx5 carnt wait for us to go racing and some track days and if more people see sense it will be a good sprint series. all the best mike

Speak to Jase or Stu if you need to know about how to spin a BMW :)

BTW, it's called a controlled slide, unless you reach the armco or tyres. :)

Good choice Mike and one i'm sure you won't regret.

I love the SMG 2 box and i can't ever see me going back to a manual.

As for mods. i would recommend concentrating on brakes first then suspension and finally if you really want to more power.

If i had my time again i wouldn't have spent over

Hello mate not stripping it out as ive tryed to find a m3 without sat nav and telly which i found harder than i thought to find the right one just going to use as is for now because i wont to use as every day car as well but thanks for that, are you going to snetterton tomorrow so i can pick your brain about suspention etc. thanks mike just another question how do you get of the line with the smg is it right you can hold the revs with the paddle back in first and when you release the paddle it ingauges the clutch is this right? thanks mike
