my understanding is software is very home grown so would rather leave alone than blow any cars up,

hks fcon is piggy back or proper ecu but again with rx8 is some thing very different to map than the normal 4 cyl engine so most stay away

Oi Houghton!!

Leave that bloody RX8 alone. I knew it wouldn't be long :)

After many years of gentle persuasion Mr Hayward still doesn't tamper with Rotary's. (Boo) I am sure that if enough of us bought them he'd cave in :boxing_smiley:

Oi youself! Never mind the rotary Mazda, you're yet to get an MX5.

The reason I ask is not to tune the thing (it fits nicely into class A2 I think) but to improve the starting that they all seem to suffer from. First step is the new uprated starter motor that should, spin the engine quick enough to prevent flooding. Or so I read.

Next step is a big turbo :D

You'd be well advised to ring Gary or Christian @ APT 01603 870990

I know Gary is flying around all over the UK mapping and setting up rally cars at the moment, so his time on this (and other) forums is a bit limited.
