Instant email notification of new messages to a subscribed thread doesn't seem to be working.
Buggers cancelled my op just a couple of days before it was due. Inconsiderate barstewards!!

This is bizarre :svengo:

The 'snag list' thread should be in 'This and That' but you try to find it from that forum rather than clicking on it from the front page.

change your options at the bottom, sort by last post time, descending.

Just to clear the PM issue up it needs to be enabled by everyone individually. If you click on 'User CP' at the top. Then find and click 'Edit Options' down the left hand side there will be a window in the middle that gives options. If you click the box next to 'Enable Private Messaging' box and then click 'Save Changes' at the bottom it will be enabled.

Also in the same window is the option to receive emails when people have replied to your post or your threads ('Default Thread Subscription mode' option)

Gotta say that it is getting there and Stu is doing a great job so bear with him. Please continue to post errors/bugs in here though.

Cheers for the tips so far lads, but I've got a few issues at the mo-

-All the threads (except the Stickies) in the 'General' section are jumbled, eg. the "snag list" isn't on the first page, and I've tried various settings but with no luck.

-For some reason BP won't show my Profile pic- it shows it on the edit screen (and it's within the 120x100 limit) but saving it produces an "Upload failed" message. I've tried reloading it from my computer and from Photobucket with no success either.

Any ideas?

Other than that it's looking good.

Go to the bottom of the page on the forum index and see

'Display options'

select 'last post time' or similar and then select 'descending'

Still looking into the other bits :)

Thanks for the patience. I'm doing my best with limited time and even more limited knowledge. Goz (Paul) is being a massive help behind the scenes and the lesson on Vbb and ftp stuff on Wednesday can't come soon enough

Mine are already ticked lol...i did them this morning and just checked that nothing has changed.

Still no email notifications so for me they're not working.

I'd agree Francis. That should be easy enough to sort so let me know if that's not fixed by this time tomorrow :)
