New Sprint Idea for 2010 on a budget
Re: MX5
Great stuff Mike. I've put your name down on the list. I said to Mike B that it may be worth getting onto an MX5 owners site and putting the suggestion to them to join in with us.Mikey,S wrote:
I,m up for it Gerry we would have to thrash out the rules for entry and what class or it may be possible to have a class similar to TVR etc.
1. Gerry H
2. David H (double drive)
3. Mike B
4. Mikey,S
5.
6.
A few more and we can start to thrash out some regs. You tempted yet Logan?
Bearing in mind your reference to plain English, that is one of the funniest things I have read in a while :lol:gidz_master_flash wrote:as is typical of the was the MSA wdo things, they aren't written in plain English.
Hope i've helped.

You can't expect me to be able to type do you
I did consider trying to recover the situation by claiming I was being ironic, but no, my typing really is that bad

Be a pigeon, not a statue.
I know this isnt yet about what car yet, but with MX5s being to starting point I very much recomend them, on the proviso that you are free to change steering wheel and seats. I am only 6'2" but barely fit in the misses MX5. A thin pair of seats from a Lotus or kit-car copy and a smaller steering wheel and even Stu could fit in it with spare room.
Allow JDM or UK Mk1s. The jap model sometimes came with an LSD, but they are next to useless now anyway, and a pain to try and police. By now alot of UK cars will come with dodgy after market airfilters, coil overs and an LSD anyway, so it woud be cheaper to allow some of those than a religously bare stock class.
If it does become MX5s then will have to try and steal the keys from the misses for the odd event, but I wont put my name on the list as I know I wont have the time to support a full series.

Thanks for the endorsement Rob.
The thought was for 1,600 Eunos as these were fitted with LSD as standard, or so I'm told. Exhaust, intake, suspension, brakes can all be upgraded but no superchargers or other mods.
As for fitting in. I doubt I'll have a problem with my stature, just 6'2" whilst stood on a kitchen chair
Stuart and Rob going round Snetterton in one of these things has to be a sight to behold :-D
