B.O.V help

Post by DR GREENTHUMB »

Right lads i have an ARC bov that has been sitting around for a while now & i think its time i tryed it out. Its already fitted to an intercooler hard pipe so its only 2 jubes to undo, but if i disconnect and block the vac hose that feeds the stock recircs will they stay closed / not work so i can try the ARC. Any help would be great.

Cheers. Matt.

Matt,

BOV's need positive/negative pressure on both ides to work.

What sort of boost are you running? If you are not running mega psi you may find that the car will run better without BOV's

Is the ARC atmo or recirc. If you want to run atmo your A/F ration will change as you are losing air that the AFM has already metered.

Give me a call if you need help.

Gary will advise on this also.

Hi eddy. The ARC bov is an atmo which can be run as a recirc if needed. At the mo i am running 1.4 bar on garret 2860's. Garry said about running with no bov's but this is kind of a black & white area, some say its ok others dont . Shoud be ok with VTA as power fc has an ajustment to compensate.Think i might just pass it on as its going to be more hastle than its worth.
Cheers for your help mate.
