Nothing really major to report but hey i might aswell keep this up to date :P
today i made some checks on the car for the upcoming tracknight 16/06 and everythings fine bar a bit of oil needed for the engine. i also painted my tow eyes and added temporary leader arrows too, because you never know

also fitted my satnav up and out of the way so i can get an idea how fast im going and get rough lap times too

and before anyone asks, no i havent folded the seat down to make it go faster

well this evening i decided to take the front bumper off to fix that bent tow eye and see what else is damaged :?
so after 3 hours this is where im at....

it's an absolute bitch to get off, so many fixing points and rusted bolts
so tomorrow i'll hopefully manage to get the last 3 sodding nuts off from the inner wings and on to reparing this run away car

Today i managed to take the bumper off, do some repairs, grind away crap and rust and treated them. Heres my day in a few pics

So to recap, everything is straightened out and fixed. All i need to do now is flatten and repaint the corners of the intake, then source some second hand fog lamps. And we'll be back to where we were prior to the pitwall mishap

cheers Julian, the worst part of this was the lower cross member that was pressed out of shape, but you can see that a trolley jack works wonders on the before and after pics

A lucky escape, good skills mate
I only tried to take a front bumper off on one occasion and it was a bloody nightmare. A lovely car other than that.(........it was that bad)
Lovely cat by the way. A British Blue?

cheers Stuart, i wouldve avoided this if i remembered that to take the car out of 1st before starting  (did you know what happened?) anyway i can sympathise, modern front bumpers take forever to take off no matter how good you are, and the amount of broken bolts i had to drill out and replace was rediclious :roll:stuart wrote:A lucky escape, good skills mateI only tried to take a front bumper off on one occasion and it was a bloody nightmare.
