Well heres the brief resume of my day on sunday and a vid of my best run which wasnt that great. Day started with me waking up with me looking at the alarm clock reading 8.45

. So I jumped in the shower, threw some clothes on a belted up the m1,a1,a64 at the legal speed limit

and arrived just in time to sign on and hear the safety breifing but didnt get to walk the course or anything.
So straight into my sighting lap which was ok and psted a 55 second time for my "practice/sighting lap". first run was awful but was still ok at mid 52's and got steadily faster trying to break the 50 second mark. To put things in perspective Andy F's first time was 46's and he got that down to shy off 45' secs. The pro scooby clinic car getting down to just under 44 secs at the end of the day.
I ended thte day on 50.5 and had a sixth run that set a time of 50.25. So close to what was to be my personal nemesis of the day.
I did learn a lot though in terms of what made me quicker and what didnt and that I hope will stand me in better stead for the next round.
I ended up 32nd overall out of 37 and 21st out of 24 in class so I wasnt last  . To some up the day was a great day, the weather was brilliant (Mrs said I had a bit of a "glow"), had a great time, arms ache, still knackered but was a little disappointed not to have done a little better and it would have been nice to have broke the 50's barrier. Think the nice pink bits under the car helped as the car defo felt tighter but that could be down to me driving a bit more effectively.
