My entry into this competition was confirmed this morning :)

I'll be keen to get down there the day before, camp over and then enjoy a days hooning around this historic venue. Has anyone else looked into camping arrangements yet?

I'll be going down on Saturday morning. The thought of the car and me steaming away in Friday M1, M25, A3 traffic for 110 miles will give me nightmarers.

Two hours tops on Saturday am or four hours plus on Friday, no contest.

Wow. What a track!! Two laps of that bad boy per run will be superb :D

More details here for anyone that is as excited as me

Image

Length: - 2.4 miles (3.862 km )
Direction: - Clockwise
Telephone: -?
Location: - Goodwood Circuit, Goodwood, Chichester, West Sussex. PO18 0PH
GPS: - Lat: 50.8602 / Long: -0.7512
Google Map
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl=en ... &z=15&om=0

Rating: - :D :D :D :D

Comments: - As sprints go they don't come much better. Fast and flowing with all the history associated with Goodwood makes this a memorable venue for many reasons. This is the fastest circuit in the UK and a quick 7 could complete its 2.4 mile length in around 90 seconds. There are some long runs which can be hard on engines. Good run offs though.

The above was gloriously borrowed from the Westfield owners forum

3 hours and 25 according to Google for me, so I'll stick with a slow drive down leaving Friday lunchtime I think
