By policing their own site i mean they should be more closely monitoring activity with a view to catching out crooks. Surely they must be old hands by now at spotting a scam a mile off but seem to choose to turn a blind eye until something goes really wrong and then they have to do something about it, but always in their own time!!
A lot of the time that guarantees them and PayPal a fee so it's no wonder the dodgy buggers do such a crap job. Shocking attitude!!

Buggers cancelled my op just a couple of days before it was due. Inconsiderate barstewards!!

We can see that you've had contact with gos911 through eBay recently.

We strongly recommend you treat emails from this member with caution and don't respond if you hear from them again.
Tips for safe trading on eBay
Always complete your purchases on the eBay website - it's the safest way to trade with other eBay members. Always make sure that your user ID is listed as the winning bidder on the 'Item ended' page before sending money for a purchase.
If someone asks you to buy or sell an item outside eBay, we strongly recommend you ignore their request and report it to us. If you buy or sell outside eBay, you won't be protected by our Feedback system and protection services.
Keeping eBay a safe and reputable place to buy and sell is our top priority. To find out more about buying safely on eBay, open a new window on your browser and copy these links into it:
