Glad it is all coming together.

14 Helicoils! :? That seams a lot, where they damaged, or is that just a Zen belt and braces enhancement?

If you need someone to run it in overnight............

14 threads that wouldnt take any torque without completely pulling what was left of thread out:

1 on water pump (the last one done up)
1 on oil pump (again the last one done up)
3 on inlet manifold
1 on water cross pipe
5 on the sump.. cos the sump has been on and off a few times

3 somewhere else...

Paul would not let it be less than perfect so ALL threads were cleaned in the block and ALL components and ALL nuts, bolts, washers, pipes were 100% grit, grime, and general muck free.

This is what has taken the time tbh and I have become a dab hand at using the parts washer and although at times I am sure I was holding up the rebuild, it is good to get in and do stuff yourself.

I also spent a good couple of hours deburring any sharp edges on the block halves, facing the block, porting oilways and generally doing whatever I could.

Engine now in:

Just some plumbing to do and it will be finished and ready.

Crikey! Didn't realise it was this weekend.

Looks like it's a foregone conclusion Dunk.

Round 3 says it all. Well the first bit does anyway :thumb:
