Hi, I like what i see

Post by Stevieb »

I came across big power after following an Impreza WRX wagon (with big power sticker in back window) that was being driven very 'enthusiastically', thought I would come and have a look and I like what I see.

I do sprints with the RAFMSA and won the championship last year :D . I also do some track days, Cadwell a few times, Donnington, Mallory (until stated smoking from engine bay - ouch  , engine rebuild), the Ring, Spa and I do some 12 car 'navigational' events.

Hope to come and participate in a bigpower trackday/sprints soon.

Was a black wagon, was going to post on was it you but this was last friday.

I must admit it was a little too spirited going into to 30 zone.

Will leave it there as do not want to get anyone into trouble, other than keep that sort of driving to more appropriate time/place.

Thanks for the welcome.

Hi Steve,

I've done a few Barkston sprints, as have a few others here, introduced to it by Andy Stevens whom I guess you might know. Would like to do some more this year, although my sprint plans are a bit stop/go at the moment. Great little circuit and series - good to be sprinting on a 'proper' circuit rather than round cones!

cheers
Andy

Andy and Gerry (who I am sure is Gerry on bp with the white wagon) did a few in 07.

It is a nice little circuit, all be it a little slipperey, especially when wet, was spinning all 4 off the line, well technically was not moving off the line at all.

They have timing beams now, so the traffic light start is now on your own terms, which takes the fun out of it a little.

When did you do the sprints there and what were you driving?

It was '07, in a silver '95 WRX, 2 meetings I think, was parked up with Gerry and Andy. Have a blue STi6 RA Limited now, a bit of a work in progress, but it's just about ready for track work now.
