Hi Simon - What bias valve did you use? Am thinking similar for my RA.P20SPD wrote: ABS, i ditched before the start of last season, and combined with new braided lines, bias valve in cabin (worth it for balance of braking in wet and dry) it made a huge difference.
All the best with the work today Gerry!

That'll change soon enough Trev. Once he finds his night lungs he'll have the whole street up
Just home with the car.
ECU plugged in, let the fuel pumps run a couple of times and the car started immediately. So it seems, the earth connector is pretty vital. Fiddled with a few bits and pieces, plugged a few holes in the floor, made a breather catch can that will be fitted this afternoon and then get the cleaning stuff out ready for the rain later.
Had a big flash of det when I gave the throttle a little squirt on the way so I'll tip some octane booster in tomorrow. The V Power in the tank is at least four weeks old now.
Sprint at North Weald tomorrow so best take it a little steady, don't want to melt this engine.

Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or hump it, piss on it and walk away!
Take it steady?? Yeah, righto
Great news though Lord Houghton. The ups and downs of tuned car ownership can be so cruel, so I'm glad you've had some break of luck for once.
See you in the morning my friend

gerry what were the symptoms of the ecu issue? Reason I ask is we've had a intermittent issue with the power fc, problems only happen when its been wet and then only rarely but when it decides to throw a wobbly it runs like a bag of bolts and wont hold rpm with the clutch engaged. thought it was a re-occurance of the water in ecu tray which led to the expensive death of the last one but its fine and sealed and when the rain went it runs fine, pulls like it should and idles fine etc.
Just wondering wether it could be the earth getting wet. Personally think its probably maff related which is why im looking at the simtek option.
sorry yo hijack your thread. Awesome build so far mate. Will the new setup make the car a lot cooler?
