I hope you guys had a great day

Well done to Dunk (3rd in club) Fiona and Neil :D

No mention of Bart so I hope everything is OK

All of the times seem a fair bit down on last year......what was the weather like?

2008
pro 1.25.9
club 1.31.9

2009
pro 1.26.8
club 1.35.1

I look forward to the news, updates, photos and gory details :)

What a day!

First off well done to Duncan, and deserved 3rd place in Club. We were giving him his position in the final which went 3rd, 4th, then 5th and on his last lap he pulled it back to 3rd!!

I spent most of the day under and around John Stevensons Subaru in Club Pro, and despit a lot of serious engine issues he managed to set reasonable time in the final just before the engine let go :(

Weather was wet in 1st practice (2nd session) but scorching for the rest of the day, so better conditions IMO than 2008.

For reference i did a 1:35 last year in the club final and i finsihed 12th!

Rumour had Shane who won club, eased off, so as to avoid the 5% rule!

Bad luck to Zen, who narrowly missed out on setting a time in the final after the alternator belt snapped, and they got the car back out, but roughly 10 seconds too late :(

Good day, glad to be home though.

Was great to see you there Steve and thanks for pointing out the pit board and positions to me, even though I didnt see them  as I was concentrating on picking a braking point. I knew that I had one last chance to do it in the last lap though and it was going great until i had to come off the power through druids cos of a civic on a cool down lap thought it was a great idea to overtake two other cars on a cool down lap too... grrr. Who knows what the cost in time was.

It wasd a real shame that Pablo and Bart didnt make it and other familiar faces from last year but to those that were there:

- Antonio looked like you were having fun til the ecu flipped out in qualifying.

- Shane.. awesome result and driving. Was great to share a podium with you.

- Fee, glad to see you were okay after the shunt - it looked nasty seeing the car on it's side in the tyres. Glad the T cut got it out though ;)

- Kev looked like you were going really well until that evo decided to take half of your car off. I hope that the driver does the honorable thing and pays for the damage that he caused to your car. It would seriously piss me off if that happened to me and I can totally understand your frustration and general anger at the accident.  :x

- Neil, glad to be able to help you get home. You looked mighty pee'd off with the results of the fire. :(

To Team Zen - unlucky, it was close but the potential is there now to be much stronger than last year. :thumb:

To the guys and girls that helped me.. my full report will follow - too many names to list here :notworthy:
