what a brilliant day! took the MR2 out and what an eye opener that was, i was sliding all over the shop :o went spinning off at riches on the first lap, then as i came to the bombhole someone kicked up loads of dirt onto the track, i wonder who that bloody was  ....

In the words of my passenger Eddy "I didn't see that coming" LOL. I have a couple of pics of the aftermath in the mud (not showing the car and a halfs width of mud I threw on the track though). I think as I went over the crest the car lightened and hit some damp and the rear let go. Was hard on the throttle and didn't lift off. Was nothing i could do one second was going ok next was going over the red come on the Apex and doing a 360 on the grass. Luckily nothing broken just a lot of mud.

Good fun though :-D Do I get my Gold now?

Glad you had a nice time out guys. I think the amount you learn and the amount of fun you can get is incredible for the value for money..........

Hence my addiction :)

If Eddy didn't see it coming, I hope to Hell he wasn't giving you tips ;)

When you said "keep a look-out at the bomb-hole" I didn't realise how much of it you'd dug-up Suz  I should think those marks will be there for some time!

Thanks to Eddy for arranging the slots, and special thanks to Jay for being stuck at work which meant I could have his 'go' LOL :P

It seemed the 2pm slot was perfect as the track was just about dry when we went out, then as me and my brother left Snetterton part-way through the next session it started bucketting-down. I don't think Eddy minded as he was busy claiming scalps, including a clean looking mk2 Golf race/track car which he seemed proud of passing! :D

Only problem I had was high coolant temps after the first 4 laps which then meant I had to keep easing-off for 1-2 laps before I could push-on again. I had planned to remove the front plate and cut a large hole behind it to improve airflow to the rad, but with a 'mare fitting the tailgate in the morning I didn't have time. ](*,) It just meant I couldn't let the laps 'flow' as I was watching the temp guage throughout.

The list of improvements gets ever longer. PMSL
Finishing off the Ford ;)
