knock sensor monitor

Post by Ian200sx »

does anyone use an after market one and how well do you get on with it? the knock link seems to be used a fair bit with mixed reviews.

cheers

Depends on the car mate, the Power FC commander displays knock.

Also, the Apexi pfc (and probably others) can be programmed to flash the CEL when you get knock levels above a certain level.

I have this, plus a Detalarm - like the knocklink but easier to mount neatly and produced by our very own Gerry at a more reasonable price :thumb: Haven't seen him advertise them for a while tho.

sorry i'm not after an ecu, i run emerald. It doesn't have a knock sensor and was looking after something that will show knock like the knocklink. How does gerry's det alarm work/show det? sounds good

6 LEDs in a matchbox-sized box plus a Bosch sensor on the engine casing. On/off, 2 greens, 2 ambers and a bright red one, just like the knocklink.

You still making them Gerry?

Yes, still making them but don't get much time to get to do much with them.

Ian, if you want details, PM me as I'm not an authorised trader
