Really dissapointed with myself that i'm not doing the BP championship this year, however I'm going to focus on Toyota Sprint Series this year & do a few other sprints for the crack, but it doesnt' stop me being jealous :-D still i'll be at a few of the rounds. Bentwaters, Abingdon, Lydden, maybe even Snetterton to give you guys an easy scalp (neever driven it  )
I did Sevenoak's North Weald on Sunday & "did a Gerry" (won B5 my class of 1) which is what i feared about the 4WD split, there were 9 in B4  . I'll see how it pans out, but classes of 1 could get boring pretty quick!!

I'll keep an eye on here for results, stories & banter.
blacky wrote: Bit of both, I bought a roll of magnetic sheet and cut it up so i have a set of numbers, so just pick what I need and stick it on the car. Gerry takes the more "pikey" route of printing his on A4 sheets and taping it in his windows. Either are fine really. Just looks a little more "pro" if you have proper number on the side of the car IMHO.
I heard the MSA have had feedback that a few timing errors occoured last year as a result of "non regs" number marking & subsequently thier scrutineers are meant to be being more fussy this year. I ran white numbers stuck on a black car lastyear & only got questioned at Lydden & they didn't make me do anything about it they just moaned. The rule is written in the typical MSA ambiguous way
At North Weald Sunday they let numbers stuck in the window go, but i don't know if all events will be as leanient as this? Don't mean to scaremoneger, but the last thing you want is to fail scrutineering becasue you cna't display your numbers properly. PITA if you ask me, but iv'e gone the route of cutting squares & having numbers stuck on & then bring out wwhatever digits i need for the event.
Also they made alot more fuss about having towing points easily accesible & clearly marked up, which isn't something i've experinced from the MSA previously? So going to be working on that one.

Hope BP sprint series is a much fun as the JISC was lastyear. Good luck to you all 8)

Shame you won't be joining us in the series Russ but it'll be good to see you whenever

Not much fun competing in a class of one as you say and of course, they won't amalgamate you into B4.

Looks like I need some proper numbers and some red paint before Round 1.

Yep safe to say i`m getting a little bit concerned about this now! Ive got all paper work in place, ive booked in for north weald etc... I collected andy (esl) old suit today, and he took us out in his wagon for a little jolly :!: Now this is where my worrie`s come in! He say`s his is only running 398 bhp :o But poop on a stick! it seem`s rapid compared to my little yella! I remember going out in his old red saloon, and thinking yes its quick! but did`nt seem that much quicker than what i`ve got! This thing made my eyeballs wobble when he gunned it :? So you guy`s running 400+bhp i take my hat off to you! your either got plums of steel or you`re bonkers! (probably the later! :-D )
Anyway can i propose that to give us underpowered newbies a chance could you big bhp guy`s run on flat tyres? :-D Still i guess this forum would`nt be called big power if we all run 100bhp corsa`s draped in the lastest plastic accesories :!: I know another site for that :-D
I know we will be running with a power to weight system, just no one wants to be the slowest- especialy not me :!: guess i will just have to wait and see what happens on the day! I am getting excited and nervouse, more so than any track day or runs down the pod that ive done before, I think its the fact i will be judged-timed on my driving skills :? My apologies for the ramblings

Don't stress man..you'll be fine! :D

I wouldn't worry about power etc, as Andy (ESL) admits his wagon is rapido in a straight line but due to the UK diffs in it, its not mega quick round the bends!

Lucky for you Logan or he'd be up there with you.

At this rate Russ you'll be crap on the day as it won't be long before you can't sleep for worrying. Do as Logan says and don't stress. You'll be fine, if you can stay awake
