Right, update with Tein suspension.
After putting up with my Buddyclubs the last couple of years and being thrown about, massive understeer and general vibration through the steering wheel from the left hand side of the car I decided once after saving a bit of money to go for the Tein Super Street suspension (with upper mounts). After going in Alexbs Rex (such a long long time ago now!!) I decided these were going to be good enough plus they came highly recommended by the Reworx guys.
The APT chaps were offering free fitting, as I fitted the last ones myself and what a pain in the arse job that was I decided to take Christian up on the offer and ordered the stuff.
It was fitted yesterday, took about an hour and a half / 2hours which involved a bit of head scratching (apparently RX7 suspension isnt the same as Skylines where you dont have to take the top wishbone off to get the strut out), general banter with both Chris and Gary and me cooing over whether the suspension was too nice to hide away in the car and in the bit that gets mucky
Few piccies as they came out the box:
Plus a few pics straight after coming out of the APT garage:
Once done and going out on the road near APT I was very impressed, the car had lost all its roughness and jerking around and was much smoother.
We went through some of the roads in Taverham that are pretty bad and the swallowed them up very well.
Driving last night to Snetterton was great.
Anyway the 2nd part was the 4 wheel alignment (again arranged through APT) by Autotest.
I gave the setup I wanted to the guys there, they came back with an initial reading and the toe on the front wheels were both pointing inwards. On the back the toe on that they were both pointing outwards !!! Needless to say when adjusted and driving down the road the difference is amazing !!! The car sits even better and the wheel doesnt have any jerks when going over bumps at all. Even on the country part to Horsford was superb.
Can you tell I'm impressed
Few pics from last night
