Little update
After Silverstone we found that we'd completely ripped the engine mounts from the cross member to which they attach
So the car has been to a garage to have the cross member welded up and reinforced. In the words of the mechanic 'you'll have to rip off the entire front end before you suffer another cross member failure'
Obviously, new engine mounts have been installed along with new trans mounts and we had the car weighed too. The measured weight was 1188kgs with an indicated half tank of fuel which I'm pretty happy with. What I'm happier with is the corner weights of the car - they're just about bang on requiring very little adjustment so we saved our money and didn't bother having it done.
In other news, I ordered some body parts today. I'll opst up photos in a couple of weeks when we've hopefully received, sprayed and fitted them.

Yes Jason pretty happy with the weight since there's more to do in the future in the boot, bonnet, glass, driver door. What surprised me though, now that I've looked into it more deeply, is the standard weight of the car is 1320kgs excluding options. It felt so much heavier in comparison to, say, my old Accord Type R which was 1300kgs.
Just done Anglesey - wow what a place. We had four seasons in a day and they were all fun. When the sun came out, it was just stunningly beautiful. Very nice to be hooning around a track, come over a brow and see cliffs and the sea in front of you!
I loved the track. Fast and undulating although the day itself was a little too crowded. However, I can thoroughly recommend it if you can stomach the drive. It took me 7 hours
Anyway I'm waiting to process my video but in the meantime I found some on vimeo. I remember this session very well. This black mk1 Golf went very well (a VAG 20V turbo I believe) and I followed for a couple of laps before making a move to chase after the GT3RS. I come into view at 9:06
