Good to hear from you, look forward to seeing you soon.
Where locally (Norwich) is there a decent selection of race suits, boots etc????
The other option is to ring up somewhere like Grand Prix Racewear at Silverstone and see what sort of stock they hold in your sizes. You could then evaluate whether it's worth the trip over there.
The rules about the quality of crash helmets used for track days is about to get enforced more rigorously, so if you're going to buy one, please make sure you buy one that is as futureproof as possible. I have a gold ACU Shark lid at the moment which is OK for this year but I'm fully expecting it to be replaced for 2010. Something to bear in mind.

Just equip yourself with the correct info before you go. These are the MSA approved standards for this year
From the 2009 MSA Rule Book:
Helmets bearing one of the following standards may be approved by the MSA:
FIA 8860-2004
SNELL SA 2005
SNELL SA 2000 (will be withdrawn 1/1/2010)
SFI Foundation 31, 1A 31, 2A,
BS 6658 Type A/FR
The guys at SCA should know this stuff anyway. Ask for Kat and mention my name when you go along.
