No unfortunately day after my son's wedding.

2009 is a sprint free year for me...

Is this the generation gap?

hehehe :!:

You not tempted to come out even once Kim, just for old times sake!??!!

Not quite the same this year without you hundredths either infront or behind me going into the last run!!! :D I enjoyed that!

Spoke to Chris Avis on Sunday, he seemed in good spirits and wasn't missing it!

Might do. Debden's not my favourite and it always pees down.

Have to see what the options are.
Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or hump it, piss on it and walk away!

Ashamed to say, I'm not tempted at all (although competition definitely gave the day an edge) and am a bit surprised at myself after 25+ seasons. I looked at NW results/pix and thought 'been there, done that' and I was soooo right to can this year. Maybe a new car might inspire me but at the mo' no sprinting.

Saw Chris at Kimbolton kart track a couple of weekends ago and you're right, he doesn't miss it but, Logan, you just have to do karting. Its full on, relatively cheap and brilliant for size S guys. Me an' Stuart need not apply... but bang for buck it is hard, if not impossible, to beat.

Can't understand Gerry's views on rain - all my FTDs (okay, my three FTDs) were in the rain and his car is 4WD too. What's the problem? Bolt on the Goodyears and collect... :)

I have spare sets for sale if anyone interested.

It's nothing to do with the driving in the wet. My dislike of rain is simply that, I don't like getting me, all my gear (you know there's lots) and the inside of the car, soaking wet.

I learned a couple of things at Debden:

How to be cold, wet, tired and hungry to the extreme.

The worth of a golfing style umbrella.

Even if the day starts off fine, not to leave a new 10 quid roll of paper towel in direct contact with the ground.

My car leaks like a sieve

Nomex overalls get heavy when soaked.

Racing boots are, one way, super absorbent.

Thnderstorms can and do happen!

You & Stuart did get very wet lastime out at Debden & ended up calling it a day after the first timed run as you looked like a pair of drowned rats :o

It was a really miserable event all day, I don't think the rain let up at all! It was so minging the organizers said "we all want to go home too, so we aren't going to have a prize giving, so prizes will go out in the post!"

I'm hoping to do this sprint, hopefully see you there! come on Gerry
