Gerry

Thinking (typing) aloud, can we not print a load of applications off from the MSA and get these filled in with cheques and mug shots at the next meet? These could be taken by the competitor to NW and this with their Harrow membership can be paid for on the day??

Good idea Stu. Maybe some help to get people started won't go amiss.

The entries, this year, are looking to have dropped in price. Maybe a small benefit of the recession?

If we can get a list of names going, we can sort some applications for everyone.

Gerry H wrote:Russell the class system, for you, is very straightforward. If your car has it's full interior, is road legal and runs on road tyres, not 888 type road slicks, then you're in B5 with Logan & co. If it's stripped and on 888 type tyres, then you will be in D10 with Mike, Stuart, me and others BUT you WILL need a cage.

Now your class is sorted, you just need an MSA licence. Piece of cake to get, no medicals, it's just a Speed, National B licence. Send the application form, cheque and mug shot to the MSA or hand it in at your first event.

You'll also need a decent helmet and fireproof overalls.

Best do it soon so you don't miss out.

There really is no red-tape, raffing or any hurdles. It's dead simple.
Thanks gerry
Does this mean that i would have to re-instate my interior, and to what extent :?: or should in fit a roll cage and be the guy bringing up the rear  Also could i just have ago at one or two sprints :?: It would work soo much better for me if the sprints were run mid week, as being an arthur daily type and running a car lot weekends are always when people want to view or pick up there cars :!: Hence why i love a bp run sprint day so some of us can have a taster of what you guys get up too (sprinting i mean  )

Russell, All but the Snetterton round are MSA events and are on the back of officially organised events, run under the rules and regs of the MSA. These are, without exception run at weekends and usually on a Sunday.

The Snetterton event is purely for BP members and as well as being a serious round of the BP sprint series will allow members to run their cars as a 'taster.' For this, there will be no MSA rules so, there will be no requirement to have roll cage or interior.

Perhaps the way to view it is, it will be operated like a track day with signing on, indemnity signing, licence check, briefing. The difference will be, you get a single lap run, with only you on track. :o

Classes and finer details will be announced for this unque event.

Can't you get the in-laws or wife to babysit the business?
