Nippon Challenge 4th April Snetterton

Post by RX7 »

Hi Guys,

The Nippon Challenge (Race series for Japanese cars) is at Snetterton on the 4th April this year. There are some serious RX7s, Evos, 350zs, Integras and of course the MX5 fraternity all on track at the same time for 2 races. Also on the day there will be classic sports car races.

After going last year and thoroughly enjoying the day I will definitely be going this year, read my report for last year here:
http://www.bigpower.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7553

Should be a great day again, anyone up for coming along ?

Gareth

Will come along if I'm around that weekend.

hehe Logan, how about bigpower does mx5 arrive and drive :-D

Perhaps not ... it would bring back memories of a bike racing day where a bunch of us borrowed bikes to all enter in the one class. It resulted in lots of crashing, including me and I was a class-regular at the time!

The MX5 racing were superb !!! They were obviously outclassed by the bigger horsepower cars but the close racing and going into corners 4 wide was just superb !!!

I can still remember Stuart giggling now !!!!

Was the racing sporting? I have had an invitation to compete in that championship, even though my car falls outside of the regs. Just worried about getting too much panel damage.

It's rather 'sporting' .. but I didn't see too much rubbing .. there was definitely some contact ... but awesome to watch.

If I'm not working, I'll be there

Gareth, you're spot on. That was the weekend that started my lust for something cheap and cheerful (and Jap) to go racing.

It's a wonderful weekend of dicking around with cars we can all relate to. Let me know what time you guys are going up there and we can have a mini-meet :thumb:
