Just had a call from Keith Warner of HCC asking if anyone else is coming to this dinner/presentation on Saturday evening and to get their names in to him quick.

Looks like numbers are pretty poor atm with only 4 days to go :o

So, come on chaps, Trev, Logan, anyone is welcome, HCC member or not and a great opportunity to support an historic motor club.

I have spoken to Keith an i will be there with my father, I will do my best to spot you in the crowd and introduce myself.

Really looking forward to meeting and chatting with Andy Dawson, he built my car back in the day when it was new.

Gerry, apologies for not introducing myself last night, I got into deep conversation with Nick Cook before the meal and with Andy Dawson afterwards. Interesting to chat to Andy as he built my car originally when it was a works rally car.

Will hopefully get a chance to introduce myself and have a chat at an event later in the year.

Not a problem Matthew. The evening flew by as it did last year.

Did you see the size of Logan's pot :o and he couldn't be arsed to go himself

Quarter past one before my head hit the pillow..........

Overall it was a good night in great company. A shame that a few other people couldn't make it but it was, geographically, in the arse end of the Universe, 116 miles away in Sunny Rickmansworth. If I was competing today, there is no way I would have gone so kudos to Logan for making the right choice in that respect.

The wee man would have been chuffed with his gargantuan pot, that's if he could have lifted the bugger up, it's huge! The reason I used the phrase 'would have' is that I'm going to keep it for myself and blag it for the next twelve months, cheekily turning the thing around so that 2008's winners name is not evident. It does look mighty fine in the front room :)

It was nice to meet a few of the officials of Harrow, great to catch up with Spence, Fiona and Stevens snr. Lord Houghton looked suitably smug with his prize, as he should after a good solid years performance (even Cadwell) I still haven't abandoned the idea of having some kind of series this year and fortunately, neither have the guys at HCC.

I'm sure after a few good meals and some chores done Tanya will forgive me for, and I quote, ' you owe me several favours for this one'. Were it not for Liz and Gerry's company I am sure she would have fallen asleep at several points.....oops!

No idea who you were Matt so I couldn't say 'hello'. A shame that; after several interesting posts I had hoped to put a face to the name.

Maybe at a sprint? :D

(Signing off; got to do some chores)

Ifyou look at Mr Logan's bucket (too big to be a pot  ) You should find my name on it somewhere around 1999 or 2000
