You probably travel faster than the speed of the sound from a Subaru horn. So it'll only be of use for MOT anyway

BTW have you felt the weight of the horn x 2

I didn't weigh the horns tbh Gerry - sorry to taking it down a level or ten

Next job is to wire the clutch switch into the vacant input on the ecu and change the IO configs in there to enable flat throttle shifting again. Hopefully get the soldering iron out this evening and give it a trial

Well, it took me a while and again thanks to some guidance from Pat on the gear shift and gear cut strategies within Solaris... but I finally got it sorted.

Nice mound of wiring. All I had to do was cut the wire from the AC switch and feed in the wire from the clutch wire and solder them together. Firstly I got the wrong AC input so was put right on that. :lol: There are only 140 wires to choose from in my defense

Then to amend some of the inputs and settings within Solaris to make it work.

1st->2nd gear shift worked a beaut as did 2nd->3rd and 3rd to 4th but 4th to 5th and 5th to 6th were throwing wobblies....

Some head-scratching and studying of logs showed that it couldnt really decide what gear it was in when in 5th so I had to amend the driveRatios in the ecu to get it to figure it out perfectly.

End result ... job done - flat throttle shifting is working a treat

I was never really happy with the bonnet pics on my bonnet and now that the central catch has gone it was time to replace them with locking aerocatches. These look much neater and mean I don't have to tape over them for ring trips.

Anyway, today I decided it was time to fit them.

As the locating pics were already there it was relatively easy to decide where to put them. Marked out and ready to chain drill (I dont have a dremel):

After smoothing down with a grinding stone and 3 Layers of bonnet later and one is done:
