3rd time lucky, how long will this one last?

Post by Rob S »

I am almost reluctant to post this, something's bound to go horribly bloody wrong.
Below is my soon to be new car

It's going to be picked up mid-week hopefully, drove really smoothly on the test drive, and comes with a folder full of history from new. It had a V70 engine fitted in 2001, when the original owner chose to ignore the main dealers warning of the rear main oil seal leaking :o and the original engine lunched itself.
It's in need of some tidying, but is in good nick, and seems a strong car.
Not exactly an Impreza, but that may be a good thing for me
Oh and it was

It's a manual Rob, but I've not ruled out mods.
Just not yet due to my recent track record  I need to save for my next car probably.......

Well today went to plan (first time this year!)
I've done nearly 100 miles so far, and I'm really impressed by how smooth and quiet it is, and how hard it goes for such a big old car.
The handling is "interesting" but then it does weigh as much as Blenheim Palace.........thinking about it, the interior looks like the palace too.
I'll get it serviced and cleaned up, and then look at options for handling and/or a Map.
