bump from hell i know, but i came across a free alternative to Photomatix and thought id share : http://qtpfsgui.sourceforge.net/

Still have to learn to clean the car first though :oops:

Will have a go at this !!!

I have been playing around in photoshop recently where I have over exposed an image, then opened it again and underexposed and then dragged them over each other and rubbed out the area to expose the one beneath. Sounds similar to this.

Some really dramatic photos you can produce though !!!!!!

Look up AEB Auto Exposure Bracketing in your cameras manual for the down low :)

Take a pic with your camera that has the exposure spot on then use photoshop to under and over expose it. The more exposures you have the better the image will be.

I just got a copy of Adobe CS4 Master Collection......It's very good!!
Buggers cancelled my op just a couple of days before it was due. Inconsiderate barstewards!! :rant:

Me and a friend have recently been giving HDR's ago. I have yet to find the time to take some shots but had a little play on photomatix and created this:
