2009 My run of luck with cars continues.......

Post by Rob S »

After the joy of my Subaru, the Nissan has been uneventful till tonight, when some dear 81 year old crashed into me!
I am guessing my Jap minicab is a write off, two doors bashed and the rear 3/4's dented.
The cars only worth

Oh mate.......

If the damage you mention is accurate, it's a gonner! What a shame....presumably there were no problems with the insurance details?

The only other option is buying it back cheaply and then maybe sorting out the repair in a more cost effective manner?

So it wasn't a problem with your Scooby after all! You're just jinxed :o

Sorry to hear that Rob. What a bummer :( No injuries I hope?

I am going to get one of these next

Lets see there chances with this!
Stu, I'll get you some pic's tomorrow, but the guy hit the rear drivers side wing as it joins the back door, scraped and dented the whole door, the whole front door dent and scraped also.
I figure once they're repaired/replaced, the 3/4's gotta be done, then it's all got to be sprayed up and blended. I reckon that'll be about what the cars worth, if not more.
I reckon it's a foregone conclusion.
There were no injuries thankfully, what insurance niggles were you on about Stu?

Time'll tell, a friend turned up to deal with it, he seemed happy enough all was ok. The old chap was a traffic policeman in the 60's and 70's, maybe he thought he was TPAC'ing me

I would still try and buy it back for the engine and running gear..... might be able to fix it cheaply and turn it into a track only car...
