Geo hasn't been touched since it was set at the beginning of last year. ARB is set to hardest setting so is suspension (as recommended by the people who did the geo), DCCD was set quite high.

After all the work done last year, the power increased by 100ish bhp. 1/4 mile time improved by more than a second but sprint times were within a couple of tenths. The only time I got anywhere near Mike was at Bentwaters which is mainly fast left handers.

Had a chat with Mike, who's put me onto the guys that did his geo recently.

There's also a company in Norfolk whom Stuart recommends.

Final results with handicap:
FTD Mike Blackmore

14th Trev.

26th Mike S

Interestingly I've been looking at P:W and taking Trev's fairly standard Pulsar @ 227bhp:1220kgs against Brian S' GT3RS 415bhp:1375kgs(before the lip spoiler fell off). Trev's is 189/ton Brian's 307/ton. Trev's handicap was 96.26% Brian's 95.18% Trev beat Brian, on the road by 2.41secs. Brian beat Trev on handicap by 0.45 secs. Does 4wd make up greater than 118bhp/ton?

to muck your sums up i put down it was 270bhp which it is at 1 bar, sadly i was only making 0.8 bar which is 250 bhp
but even so it looks like you get well and trully stuffed for having 4wd
was nice to be still be able to beat the gt3rs's time in a 1991 japbox worth peanuts :-D

and i have taken a car to super tyres in maldon for geo where mike got his done , they seem to know their stuff

I got those figures by googling the each car + specs.

Of course, you could take it all a step further and include driver weight.

I doubt that too many runners actually know their car's weight and bhp and just guessed at some numbers and we all know how modest guesstimates can be if it's not pub talk.

I would say that your back end (oh-er) is probably too stiff then so when on the limit it just lets go big style and isn't progressive, I would try either softening up the ARB or softening up the damping a touch and try that, I'm no expert but that sounds like that may help. The DCCD cars seem twitchy anyway so if your rear is too stiff then I would say that would explain why you keep spinning.

Probably worth getting the geometry checked anyway just to ensure your wheels are all pointing the right way.

Hope you get it sorted Gerry! Not a good feeling thinking your going to spin all the time!
