Looking good boys.
When is it going to be fired up ? (or did I miss that bit?)
TNT Racing XR4x4 - Time Attack 2009
Our original target date for completion was this coming weekend, however due to hold ups for weather and addidtional problems whech we came across and had to resolve we are about 2 weeks behind. Although this coming weekend the engine and driveshafts should be all finished, so theorectically we could fire it up this weekend
The engine is finally all back together :-D
The reason for moving the oil cooler can clearly been seen now and should improve engine cooling drastically. Previously the oil cooler sat on top of the intercooler infront of the rad.

We had hoped to get the plenium powder coated but with so much to do forgot all about it

Front shocks are currently being rebuilt at AVO Suspension, rear shocks need to be modified to fit but should be done tomorrow
Nearly there

The oil cooler has now been inverted from the position we had placed it as per the comments made to an earlier post
. Alan had a bit of trouble getting it to fit in this rotation and as such it has now had to fitted at an angle. We have test fitted the new bumper to check the air flow to it. This will now need some slight modification to ensure maximum air flow to the cooler.

Whilst rumaging around in the shed came across this
. Completely forgot we had this  , we might clean it up anf fit it at some point as some of the wiring and contections would need to be changed first

A bit of mixed week with the rebuild
. Sent the shocks off to Avo last saturday to be rebuilt and have to say what excellant service we got. The shocks were back with us by wednesday
. When we came to tefit them sat. morning we found that we were missing the securing nut that goes on the top of the shock :x . Have tried everywhere to get one but it has a weird thread pattern so will have to contact Avo in the morning to get a replacement. This has now set us back a whole week in a schedule that doesn't allow for this
.
The new light weight bonnet is all finished and Alan decided to wisely test fit it to his car to see how much it flapped at road speed and apparently at 70mph it flaps quite a bit :? . This will be sorted when fitted to the car
