Ive been set the task of finding a nice scoob for my father-in-law .A duel purpose car that he can drive daily, but also take to the track and have some fun! (he`s been my co-driver for years- but after a ploppy pants moment last year, he`d rather have his own car
) He is obviously mature in years- so no chav chariots! (we`ve traweled flee bay, and clocked some obviouse muts!) His absolute v-max budget is 3.5k, something well under that would be nice, to leave some money in the kitty for track days :-D. Now he`s preference would be a wagon (for practicality) but not vital.
A pumping sound system is not required, uprated brakes, suspension and engine would be nice, but then again a well priced totaly standard car would be fine, so he can build his own track car ( seems totaly standard is much in demand)
Age also is not important, obviouly lower the miles the better!
Now so help here please! We can`t decide between a uk car or import. If uk car would be 99 on so having abs and the four pot brakes, also he could run it on normal fuel when not in track mode
. But if he went for an import he would have more oomph out of the box? and it would have spent its early life on un-salted roads? (my friends 2000my uk scoob is being quite savaged by the tin worm!)He`s entrusted me with the job of finding one for him( the fool
) He seems to think by me owning one, i might know what to look for :? Also as its his money, the last thing i want to do is land him with a pup!So any help or advice would be greatly appriciated :?:
