early morning start to the day and so glad that i did.
had a few issues to sort out with the waste gate pipe being welded the wrong way
and trying to get old manifold studs out and finding the new ones to go in.
over all the good parts of the day have out wieghed the bad points.

got the manifolds onto the heads, wounder how long these stay clean or at least the paint on :-D

the inlet manifold now fitted but not with out trounble, took the plate off that
holds the fuel regulayor and water housing the bolt snapped and found it hord to drill out
but now some what sorted.

i removed the cross over pipe to take it home to paint and found this :x

off the ashley exhuast tomorrow and see if they can make another one

took the cracked cross over pipe over to ashley this morning and he is going to make me a new piece for me.
the waste gate pipe has had to go back because i didnt take into account the area for the steering rack :x
so its going to be shortened by a inch


other work carried out today that been fitted
1. alternator and power steering bracket
2. steering rack
3. alternator
4. power steering pump
5. dizzy and leads
6. pullys and belts
7. thormastate housing
8. water pipe around engine
9. rocker shafts and all tappet clearences are set.

the job i dredded fitting the dizzy but it went in quite well thanks to washer that needed to be fitted

Well done guys, really good progress.

I do wonder how long that paint will last on the exhaust manifolds. Wouldnt a roll of exhaust wrap be more beneficial?

Pablo - well if you get the battery charged we'll have a go :-D

stu - thanks mate even thow it will look good i really hope it goes better.

P29SPD - we did cost that up to do but with the problems we have found
money is getting a bit thin so just thort id paint it for now untill
later in the year.

today has been a good day, spent most of the morning to and from ashley exhaust sorting out
the cross over pipe making sure it fit on the car properly and drinking coffee and eating bacon sandwich's :-D
other work that has been undertaken today are as follows

1- cross over pipe fitted
2- turbo fitted
3- exhaust down pipe
4- waste gate fitted again and now sits right
5- front propshaft
6- air box with new piping to cone filter
7- air/fuel metering unit
8- anti roll bar

this is were the old wast gate used to go into but now its bloked off but can take it off if we ever need to use it

as of tomorrow ill be at work for seven days straight and as im on a bit of a rolled
im wishing i had more days off work tp do more :(
