Big straight wing blade/profile

Post by Stuart »

As per the Porsche GT3 RS rear wing

I am interested in trying to buy a single plane blade made in either carbon or aluminium. It should be around 1700mm in width and around 250mm in depth (front to back) I can get the end plates and uprights made up but I'm having a bit of an issue getting a blade under several hundred quid!

I am not spending several hundred quid! :D

Thanks in advance

You will struggle to get a carbon one for less than a couple of hundred pounds Stu, although have you spoken to the guys at carbonmods?

1700mm is very wide so I doubt you will pick one up off the shelf that width.

I have sent Matt an email (Carbonmodz)

I was hoping to have picked a used one up from the various racing forums but to no avail.

Doesn't Eddy have anything to suit? I think he got a load of wings in recently.
Buggers cancelled my op just a couple of days before it was due. Inconsiderate barstewards!!

I have been reliably informed that I need a full width rear spoiler and that means either 65" or 1668mm depending on what language you speak :)

I suppose I could buy two........... er, no

Thanks for the looking into it though. All feedback is handy at this stage.

i've had a good search around on the net, and it looks like you might have to make your own aluminium one :?

If you need something shooting, or a payload to low earth orbit. Just ask.
