Any computer experts out there???

My Macbook fell off a table and afterwards the screen was very dark. Have been reliably informed that it was the backlight for the LCD screen that had probably broken.

So... in the short term i bought a cable to show the display on my home TV. Only problem is, that i have no icons on the desktop now, just my wallpaper.

Any suggestions on how i can maybe re-boot the whole thing???

Change the screen resolution - set it to 800 x 600 and your icons will reappear.

Oh and yes - your back light has failed - you can get them off Ebay cheap and change quite easily.
