It was a tad quick!!!!

Garys Evo was great too, although it made me jump everytime he changed gear - i dont think 'pops and bangs' covers it! :o

Great afternoon out today and as Jason said good to catch up with you all as it does seem like ages ago.

Betty did look good out there today although I did think that Stuart had shrunk whilst driving the beemer and then I found out that it was Nik driving :D

Only one negative thing to say about betty and that is the size of the front tow eye :o , it nearly took my shin out when I walked past the front if it, thank god it was painted orange

Bugger, I wish I could've made it up there today- I've not yet seen Gary's EVO at full chat due to the issues he had at the last Time Attack round.

Glad you all had a great time today. I'm thinking about my next trackday already. :-D

i have to echo stuarts words ive done a few trackdays :-D but they seem to be getting so they dont want people to take part or drive to limits

to be told today mines to noisy rattles my cage why do people move close to circuits and then complain!!i think i should offer a house swap!!

its going to need big exhaust boxes i hope it doesnt kill power

after only 3 small sessions it seems the evo still has oil probs so will be on phone tomorrow to pace to see whats next on long list of mods to kit......

best thing for me on any trackday is taking passengers, from the out side the car looks quick but nothing is like a passenger lap so any time im there ask away,i wont bite!!!

i have a couple of vids but i need to sort position as it not very good which im gutted about as me following stuart was another ace part of day,

i know the things wrong with stu's car (time and money will fix in time)but the lines and how planted that car looks is spot on,id say he carries more speed through corum than me!! hats of mate.... proper suspension and a good wheel alignment who knows what you can do..

and back to me and evo, i will be so happy when i can get the oil problems sorted to the point i can then think about a proper lap with out worry of watching oil pressure and temp gauges so close it takes away from what im doing on track!!
once im happy ill get some instruction as theres much more in a lap time to be had

todays test was to see what difference that wing made, massive!!! the rear end is much more planted and so makes it much more stable through fast bends,i managed 1.18 today with so much more to come

its easy from out side to say "oh he brakes to early" but jason can tell you what it feels like from inside

i was still at circuit at 7pm fixing some guys fuel pump probs another customer earnt

lastly thanks to my wife who first thing this morning thought we'd be spending day together!!, least we had lunch together :-D

Some interesting points there (a nice compliment too)

If this is a taste of things to come for 2009 with more Nanny state encroachment and stricter rules, we may have reached the tipping point guys. After having seen this first hand today and comparing it to the Trackmarques events or better still our own, where the entrants list is far more 'clubby'*, I won't be jumping into another event without knowing who is going first.

I don't think it's fair to novices and I don't think it's fair on those that aren't.

* To qualify my point, on events that are more club orientated there is (or has been in my experience) a greater level of trust and etiquette. For the large part this was absent today. This is not a slight against the organisers in any way.

the perception of speed is almost surreal as it is not until your eyes are being drawn from your head under the braking G force and corner entry that you actually think f*** me were getting on with it here . :o

cheers
