The plan for this weekend was to build up the engine and fit it back into the car but as of yesterday Alan was still waiting delivery of the gaskets. Plus the weather forecast is not looking too clever :( .
Still got plenty to get on with though. Collect new wastegate pipe from Ashley Competition Exhaust (made to Alans design to ) so we can relocate the wastegate and fit a screamer pipe  . (purely for pleasure reasons).

Alan should be over later on this morning with another spare engine that he collected yesterday  . At least we've got enough spare engines and parts now, as we have a plan  .

Once the season gets started we will be starting on next years engine  .

Nice update. Good to see Team TNT still rolling with the punches and developing the car after Mr Tolley trying to cut his hand off  (The guy always loves a challenge)

I'm sure you have already considered the screamer pipe from a noise point of view, but that's a brave move in my opinion. With circuits getting stricter about drive by dB the last thing I would have done was make my car louder but then I'm sure you know more about the existing noise produced than I do.

Can you imagine the faces of the guys in TA if you rocked with a full on Heavy Metal airbrushed Sierra? I think Mark (chief Scrutineer) would shit himself

dunc i have concidered that option but it would just get to hot in the car :-D

stu, with our car you carnt really hear it so the srceamer pipe is so it carnt be heard and give the elusion of going fast.
i am designing a link up pipe to the exhaust system so that if it is to loud then we can bolt it up.
our last dB test was 96 @5000rpm

my finger has nearly recovered but after not doing anything for 2 weeks work needs doing.

i love the bonnet may leave it on for the first round
