For the first time in ages it was dry on a saturday, so i wnet for quick blast upthe coast, feels like months since ive been for a drive just for the sake of it, sunny out, roads almost empty, dry tarmac and cool fresh air that turbo cars love. Total joy. A few fun moments where shday areas were damp but it just seemed to add to the experience, sometimes all time effort money and swearing just makes total sense.

And when I got back the next door neighbours son who works for Jaguar had brought the new XKR up to show his old man, what a glorious car, same trick interior, gearchange etc as the XF, mahooosive brakes ( i was suprised to see they still use floating calipers though) and what a glorious engine note. Cruising at 80, hit the kickdown and itll spin up its monster 295 tyres till te traction control reins it all back in. Theres also a strange little plastic trim on the trailing edge of the rear arches, aparently a little typ aproval trick because of the offset of the rear wheels a sort of "They do fit under the arches gov, honest. Totaly smitten.
