i was possibly looking at getting a netbook with a broadband 3 dongle thingy which gives me 12gb or 12 months use whichever
runs out first .

my question is this 12gb download ,is that used up with me just surfing the web so to speak or do i have to download pictures etc to use it up . i need to be able to list items and check messages on my ebay account away from home . do you think one of these will do this ok .

many thanks

You're welcome to try my dongle at some pointi. Takes just a couple of mins to install on an Windows or Mac laptop. 3's coverage map isn't very useful (not zoomable, the one I found, at least) but they have a lot planned for the next 6/12/18 months.
