Probably nothing better at the price, but bear in mind that's a small price to pay for 4 struts. The single Ohlins on the back of my Ducati costs more than that and, boy, do you feel the difference over a cheaper shock.

Having said that, I have the inverted Apex struts on my STi6 RA Lim, with 5/4 springs. The 4/3 ones may be worth a punt for mostly road use if they've given them significantly longer travel, as I suggested to Bren some months ago (I've had mine about a year now, on an STi4 and now my v6). They're a bit crashy over sharp bumps like potholes, which I think is down to rather low high-speed compression damping, but the general ride is good. At the price you're never going to get a proper low stiction design, which translates into how plush it feels, but they're pretty good overall on A-roads and the track.

You're welcome to have a ride in mine, although it's hiding in the garage through the salty conditions right now.

Ah-ha, you mentioned OE ride quality.

Forget cheap coilovers and go for something like the KYB AGX dampers currently on SN group buy. Seriously.

BTW, I have a set of newish Eibach springs which I'll be selling, which work well with standardish dampers.
