Maybe it was just the position on the manifold that supplied it.

thought i would dig up my old project thread now the years events are over. the car performed as it should all year in the sprints with only one or two small problems and one or two battle scars , and the engine stood up well to my abuse, i really need to be a little more mechanicaly sympathetic

i have one or two plans for next year that should improve performance a little :o (watch out logan im coming for you :) )

i have a little problem at the moment: the car wont boost over 4.5k hits 1.35 bar (so not over boosting) according to the commander then cuts out spluttering , i have not investigated yet as its to cold and cant be arsed
i guess first thing to check is vacume pipes but anyone else have any ideas ?

i had a thoroughly enjoyable year sprinting in this car and would like to think that i'v learned a lot about it and my driving in my first years sprinting , im looking forward to march when it all kicks off again, i wont be worried about the campionships as i plan to use the wee golf for some of the rounds and try my luck in d7

What happens at 4.5K? Does the engine die?

From what I remember of the dyno graph, there's something not right with the boost profile anyway. It makes boost very late.

Could there be a split in the intercooler or pipework that's opening up under pressure?

Good to hear it'll be rolled out in '09 and not broken :thumb:

its like hitting fuel cut , pops and splutters basically like hitting a brick wall

i have not looked , it first done it yesterday leaving a bit of smoke behind , it was then ok when i boosted it up again
today it wont go above 4.5 k revs
