The family Car! V8 POWER!

Post by IWANT1 »

My 1st V8, the 306 has gone and been replaced by something rather beastly.

Some of you might have seen the new family/daily car at the APT RR day.
Not everyone's taste but who gives a FCUK.

Ive just finished the running in period for the gas conversion i had done
when i brought it. With the gas conversion done its (paying 53p a litre)
not all that bad to run. It automatically cuts in once up to temp (about a mile
on petrol then cuts to gas) if pushing on briskly and going over 4K the
petrol cuts back in for full power as the gas produces roughly 20% less
its hardly noticeable really with 340BHP+ 350lbft+ (BMW specs). Off to
the pod in April to check out the 1/4 mile times.

Its ticked all the box's, which will mean ive no excuse for not doing more
events as all toeing issues disappeared when i collected this. BMW towing
pack was included, itself a work of art as no evidence of having a tow bar
when hidden in the boot and everything including how its stored has had
great thought.

Plenty of room for the baby seat and buggy which is the real reason for the
purchase.

Its got every extra you can think of and am still finding little gadgets daily.

M3 on stilts is one way ive heard people describe it.

And before anyone think or says it iam not a pimp or drug dealer.

Cheers guys, windows are a BMW option in the rear, being very dark and the fronts have been tinted in a lighter tint not sure how legal it is tho might have to get them changed for a smoked tint in the future.

A bit bling, but looks a good example. How much did it set you back Lee - I'd always thought that X5's would be really expensive, but I guess the big engined ones have dropped in price lately?

Nice car Lee, and it makes it more practical with the gas conversion especially at 50 od pencer per litre,

You will love the V8 power, ok you can lose a bit through the gas but thats not to noticeable.
I used to have a 4.7L V8, Jeep Grand Cherokee and it rearly anoyed boy racers at traffic lights when they pull up beside a 4x4 and then the V8 power whips them away.

Have fun and enjoy.
