Hi Guys,
Can any of you shed some light on the 1st exhaust sensor im sure subaru call it the air/fuel sensor,
I am sure that there is an intermittant fault with mine and at
Subaru Help Please

I am presuming that it is the one in the manifold/up pipe area gary,
Was hoping you were going to answer,
I did try and phone Duncan today to see if |i could get some figures from his car but his phone was turned off, ( must have been out trick or treating) :lol:
I have still got the origional down pipe cat.

he was prob out mapping!!
theres 2 sensors one precat that will swing 0-1volt while on light throttle and one after the cat thats keeping a eye on if cat is working,normally they run a constant voltage prob around .5 volt if its reading as high as you say the cat either isnt there or not working as it should
duncans will have been disabled if he has no cat

The precat one (a/f sensor) was reading about 1volt on tickover and didnt change at 1500 or 2500, rpm.
The rear o2 sensor was reading ok but was fluctuating a bit more than I would normally see on other cars, but not knowing much about Subarus I am not to sure what and how these sensors are suppose to work.
