Agreed his svengali style knowledge is ridiculous. K1HKS (Gary) is also very, very switched on with what to look out for.

I love the FD. One day............

Hi mate, we have spoken but apologies for not replying to your other pm sooner.

Basically as I said before RX7s are a lot of fun, they are a true coupe with a good weight distribution rwd with no girly driving aids (bar ABS). The engine spec can vary wildly from the standard twin turbos to the single turbo'd cars. 0-60 is about 5.5 secs on the standard car and it revs up to just under 9000rpm. The engine does need looking after and the car will need to be warmed up (at least for 3mins) before driving. You must under no circumstances start it, move it, stop it otherwise it will flood. This is the same with the new RX8 also. In addition like most turbo'd cars you cant boot it straight away and need to run it for a few mins to cool down before switching off. Oil needs changing ideally every 3k miles and the filter. Servicing once a year is also a requirement. costs for an engine rebuild are not as bad as say a Skyline but it isnt cheap, I have seen them up for
