The free McAfee subscription with my PC has now expired and not too sure on what to do?

It seems so much less obtrusive than Norton which plagued me for years and seemed to almost take over.

Annual renewal is

I have always used AVG and i have had zilch when it comed to viruse's etc.
Althought I suggest also getting Super Anti Spyware ( yes it is actually called that) As that clears a lot of cookies and such

Other ones to consider (but are not free) are Zone Alarms and Bit Defender.

AVG free for me too, and it's had a good write-up in the tests I've read. Latest free version seems a bit odd about clearing tracking cookies, so I was thinking of adding a separate spyware detector. Spybot is another free one that I hear good things about.

Download Ad-Aware for free. Great for getting rid of cookies and mrus
