Lydden 25th October 2008

Post by gidz_master_flash »

Regs are avalible on here http://www.semsec.org.uk/08downloads/25OctoberSE.pdf

Not made my mind up yet, not changing my clutch until the closed season so might have to miss this one, it's not in any championships i'm doing. but i do like the track, so will wait to see how the clutch is after Debden 05/10.

Infact it's only recently become apparent to me, but i seem to perform better when at a circut than i do when "cocking about with cones" i've managed to come away from Lydden with a 2nd in class & Brands with a 3rd this year

I've pulling out of this now, as there is nothing to be gained from me entering and I'm doing the MLR one the weekend after so will save myself for that.

Well, I won class by about a second from Brian GT3 RS. Time around 1.5 secs off my best but track was v slippy early on and never really dried until third/fun run which I didn't do. Car transformed by PZeros so I blame RE070s for recent understeer. It was great to have balance back and it was a shame the track was not up to having a real go. Had a few moments as I was still driving like it was on RE070s with loads of aggressive turn-in. Dontcha just love oversteer?

Result means I should have won the All Circuit, ACSMC, ASEMC and AEMC titles this year. Maybe a good time to hang up the Nomex undies....

Spoke to ASEMC co-ordinator Chris Judge and we may have been doing GT3 Brian an injustice as 4wd/2wd split has been mooted for the last 2-3 seasons and he is not the only one pushing for it. Just like 4wd getting kicked out of standard class I guess it was only a matter of time. Lots of financial doom and gloom around in paddock and I think entries will plummet next year rule changes or not.

John Start was present and car is for sale - he's had enough of it. Uncertain over what he will do now. May return to the dark side and buy a Scooby...

Excellent result again and for the year Kim, congrats! :thumb:

I don't suppose you noticed if a red S2000 was in A0?

If he wasn't there i've taken AEMC Class honours... :D
