There's always Oulton on Nov 18th if you can't wait to get out again
. On holiday that week in lanzarote mate.

Totally agree woody the RAF guys really did do a top job.

From Peter at Marham

All,
I hope everyone enjoyed the weekend! The weather was amazing (once we got
going on Sunday!), I'll try and arrange the same for next time :o)

Unfortunately there were a couple of muppets who got sent home but hey-ho.

I was also disappointed by the amount of litter at the end of the event,
especially cigarette ends, left around the paddock. It took a considerable
amount of time to pick these up and is the sort of thing that may jeopardise
the running of this event in future.

If anyone would like a picture CD from the RAF photogs please send
name/address and a cheque to me (you have my address already) for
Dum spiro, spero

Well done for sorting this event out Ben. I know first hand how much time and effort it takes to arrange events and the extra paperwork for a MOD base is massive - so good on you for taking this on and making it possible for those that went to take part :thumb:

I bet the yellow caterham was one of those as I heard a few complaints about it. On the litter side of things cant believe a few mindless idiots cant be bothered to put it in the bin. Hope it doesnt ruin it for the rest of us.

well sunday was eventfull !
met up with sasman , russ979 and simon another friend at 7am and trundled down to marham , no probs getting in so parked up and signed on .

Image
thats us , green bm, yellow scooby, blue soarer and vectra

after a very foggy start , it didnt clear until about 11am , lost count of the copious amounts of coffee and trips to the loo
the sun came out and we were away .
the track hadnt changed much so we were on the pace straight away .
it was good to be out with people you know and trust so some close dog fighting was the order of the day , and fun was had by all .
simon outbraked himself at the end of the runway and again at the piano keys , he was definatly trying hard :o

Image
simon in the soarer

we all had a few arguments with the cones , but as always the cones lost :machinegun:
i had the last chicane sussed but in true form over cooked my nice power slide and donutted with lots of smoke much to the appreciaition of the crowd :D
the rest of the day ran as per usual events not too many probs with other drivers but it had its casualties .
sasman had oil pressure problems that cut his day short , russel had under steer probs and an inability to catch or get away from us lol
you need to change those solid rubber tyres mate
but the best one was simon ,s 2.5 twin turbo soarer lunching one of its turbos at about 135/140 mph with me about 50 feet behind him on the runway , big cloud of smoke and debris hitting my screen , good job he has 2 spare ones to put on !
a few other cars blew up and crashed , fortunatly no one badly hurt although the two guys that rolled on the piano keys had to be taken to hospital to get checked over , they only had sore necks i think .

big thanks again to all the guys at marham for putting on another great day and cant wait for april
a few pics .
