Hey all

Well the pilot was picked up by channel 5 and then cancelled, so unfortunatly didnt aired.

However, I have now completed my placement with the team (January-October) and was fortunate enough to get my place on the LMS squad. I have been working on the Porsche all season along with the renault and ford back at the factory. We took delivery of the Aston for the final round of the season of which I was then transfered over to that. It has been an amazing oppertunity which has opened many doors for me. I couldn't even start to say how much I have learnt with the team over the last year. Like all work, there are highs and lows, but the important thing is to learn from all of them. Off of the back of working for the team I worked for another team also at the end of the season, so it has really been a great year for me. I am now back to Uni full time (5 days a week as opposed to 1) and have just about clicked my brain back into gear.

I just cant wait for next season :-D

As a little slide show, here are a few photos of my year.

Hope you enjoy

Lloyd

Well, I would suspect :D

Impressive Lloyd. Some of those cars (all of them in fact) are the stuff of dreams. Glad that the hard work was matched with good luck :thumb:

The course is structured so that you do a year in industry to show you what they can't in the lecture theatre. I was fortunate enough to be placed JWA who are GT2 Le Mans team. that sees us competing in with teams such Audi, Peugeot, Pescarola ect. Off of the back of my placement though I have also worked for Paragon Porsche. At JWA I shadowed the race engineer for the season, and when I started with Paragon, I then got the chance implement what I'd seen over the year.

The picture of the Peugeot and Audi was outside our garage at Spa which was directly below the podium :-D

The course itself is a BSc Motorsport Technology at Staffordshire University. The way that the course is structured allows you to understand both the theorectical and practical structure at the same time which allows you to get a greater understanding. The placement with JWA was a great oppertunity purely because of the level that the company operates at.

All in all, it's been an amazing year and had it not have been for the placement,it would have taken me at least 10 years to get to this level. I just thank them for putting up with me,haha
