Cheers guys, will have to start looking into that soon once the bank balance has recovered from the wedding bills...
Just been to Goodwood on a company do, wicked fun. They let us out on the track in a selection of cars. I tried the AC cobra, but the guy wouldn't let me take it over 3K rpm or 80mph - and he made me brake in the corners! Didn't even feel like it was getting started...
Then I held out for a quick go in their F355, the instructor was good (and he let me wind it up to around 150mph down the back section which is more like it). Must be honest though, that's the first time i've driven a 355, theirs is a left-hooker paddle-shift, and apart from being sat lower to the ground it didn't really feel that much different to the CSL in a straight line or through the bends, if anything a bit slower/more roll... (comparing to fast road driving) Sure it handled well enough, but again it didn't feel as crisp as the bm, especially under heavy braking from speed. Dunno what year car it was, but that may have played a factor too..?
I was a bit miffed, having wanted to drive one for a while it wasn't everything I had thought it to be, hopefully a 360/430 would be a different story. Has owning a CSL for 3 or so years set my driving/handling/power expectations to different levels now??!
I can only imagine what it must be like owning one of your 600bhp+ cars...!
Just to let you know I have a private plate on retention that I'm looking to sell at the moment. Owned it for a few years now and had it on my previous bm.
the plate is MI OL' BM - and i'm open to offers.
The reg itself is M10 LBM and I have both sets of plates (M10 LBM and MI OL' BM) made up here that I'll throw in with the sale.
