R32 Rear Number Plate Light fixings

Post by Muffleman »

Hi guys,

Managed to get myself a lovely R32 GTR project car, will throw up a thread later

Anyway, she's back from the bodyshop and I'm refitting all the bits. However, for the life of me I can't remember how the rear number plate lights fix to the car  Anyone know ? Is there a bracket ? What does it look like ?

Cheers

Hi Matt

Yeah there is a bracket or frame made from flat, pressed mild steel and it's normally body coloured.

If you can't find one within the next few days, let me know. I may have one that I can send you :)

Long time no speak.......we need some Supra action mate ;)

Any updates?

Hello matey, yeah not been around much as been VERY busy starting my own business ! But still got the old Supra, it's not really a road car but the R32 will be my everyday transport :)

Will try to be around more :)

Have you got a pic of one of these brackets mate ?

No mate. Just checked 20 odd pages of photobucket and nothing!!
Basically the bracket is bolted to the top part of the number plate recess and then the lower part of the frame clips underneath the number plate so that it holds it up in place

You can kind of see what I mean (hopefully) from this.

Hope this helps. I can get a photo of the one that I still think I have, tomorrow night after the sprint.

Do you mean the bracket that holds the number plate ? I have that, just can't see how you fix the number plate lights above it. The number plate bracket fixes to the rear and comes through the bumper, is there a bracket that fixes to the number plate bracket to hold the lights above ?

Yeah if you can get a photo tomorrow mate it would be MUCH appreciated :)

Thanks for looking just now too :)
