Pleased that B3 is a big class, should make things intersting, bound to be plently of changing of places after each run with that many competitiors. Also pleased there are a few subarus as it's as close as i get to a "straight fight".

Since they've got rid of the portacabin that used to be at marshall post 3 the crest after the bomb hole is a lot less scary & since the portacabin has gone i really enjoy that section of track at Debden. So i hope the addition of achichane doesn't totally ruin it. Other than Andy & John Smart outbraking themselves earlier this year, i dont know of any other incidents at that part of track??? It's normally a bit sandy that end of the course so I suppose it is easier to come unstuck on the brakes, maybe it was a bit sandeier than normal???? I dunno, i suppose the MSA could have suggested changes were required for the venue to remain safe??? I suppose i'm ranting because I'm dissapointed as I didn't think it was broken so didn't needed fixing.

Re: D8
Martyn hasn't had the Sunbeam out since he had a coming together with the armoc at Brands sprint towards the end of last season. No major development work has been done, mostly straighting out & one or two little tweeks.. I think Debden is planned as a shakedown ready for next year & a chance to play with / set up break balance

See you there :)

Nice insight into the corners Russ. I've only been to Debden once before and it was good fun. The BM (if it hangs together) should be hysterical around there. Not sure it'll be quick. Sideways=yes. Quick=??? :D

Hopefully you'll develop a nice "creative" way of going round the roundabout :D
I Gather you're having some clutch issues?? I am hoping mine will hold out for the event too :? As far as i know it's a normal road clutch & it's had a few too many 5k launches this season

Good luck, hope you get the BM sorted :)

Yeah, spot on.

I suppose when you look at the BM's history I should have predicted this;

Previous owner= Bon Bon (this years European Drift Champion)
Stood for two years broken on his driveway
Gently run in by me at Hethel
Then more TLC at the Auto Test at Snetterton
A trackday at Cadwell first showed the problems
Another trackday at Snetterton highlighted it again
Sprint at Cadwell lead to aborted second run. Not that it mattered :D
Monday at Snetterton this week showed that my repairs hadn't worked. Arse!

I reckon I can get a couple of runs out of it tomorrow at North Weald, but if it fails and I suspect it may, I only have a working week to get it fixed. Stock clutches are around

Last one of the season for some Trev. What are you waiting for?

I must admit I have loved taking part.

Trev and I were thinking back to the September round of last year at NW. That was the first time that Dan Booker, Trev and myself had ever been to a 'proper' sprint before and it was a easy decision to commit to 2008.

The competing has been great and in many ways using the Golf at the start of the year eased me into things before bringing Betty out for the last few rounds.

If 2009 lives up to my expectations, we will be in for a cracking year :thumb:

Have fun guys :!:

Shame I can't make, for various reasons, the main one being that I'll probably loose the AEMC by like 1 point or something unless someone beats Kim!

But I'll be having a good weekend in Spain tho so I suppose its not all bad.
