Good to meet some of you guys properly today
Great cars, impressive driving, indeed drifting in some instances, and a cracking day out.
Well done to all.

Dictionary results for: thrashed

1. To beat with or as if with a flail, especially as a punishment.
2. To defeat utterly; vanquish.

There, I think that covers it :)

To say that Gerry exacted his own retribution for my win at Cadwell last time out, would be fair.

To say that I saw the difference between a well driven car and a very well driven car would also be fair.

We both stepped up to the mark. He knocked me out  Shit happens!!

_____________________________________________

Kind of reverse order for a mini review but the results were;

B3 (2litre or more road going)
1. Logan Black
2. Kim Adams
3. Trevor Knight

Fantastic results all. ( I have your trophy Kim as it was as close as I could get to one ;) Will bring to Debden aka your back yard, next week )

Logan was blisteringly quick, launching like a poofter, but immense car control and some 'Banzai' tm cornering made up for an untouchable time. Well done mate.

Kim drove very well, caught out by a fellow competitors oil on the exit of a roundabout (the guy flipped his 240bhp Corsa in the first practice run) and the oil did nothing for Kims run. Another strong drive and another great battle with the Loganator.

TK.....you dark horse  A blinding result to get third in a tightly contested round. Quite steady going for Trev, he was only sideways a few times and normally just on corner exit. Very controlled :D

D8 (2 litre or more Modified production)
1. Mike Blackmore
2. Gerry Houghton
3. Moi

Mike drives possibly the nicest Impreza I know of this side of the Zen car (RCM one is too clean ;) ) fully forged 2.5litre, GT30, loads of boost, great brakes, decent suspension, two door wide bodied monster. Sexual. Bastard can really drive too, so he basically was the man to beat. No one did :)

Gerry was back like a man possessed. There was no way on Gods green Earth that he was going to let me beat him, no way. He was better at launching, better on the brakes, better into, through and out of the corners. He still drifts like a girl though and no-one span at higher speed than me all day :D

I drove pretty well. Poor self discipline meant too much dicking around in practice, spinning the car up, sliding etc etc, but as well know this sort of behaviour doesn't make for a quick time. So, I arrived at the first timed run, had no idea how to drive the circuit quickly after my misbehaviour and therefore, had to drive like a novice on the first lap. Great; 3 seconds down on Gerry and way off Mike. My second lap was quicker but so was Gerrys, so basically I got my arse kicked.

I had brought a knife to a gun fight :)

Stu, where did you learn to write with such flair, humility (not much choice there ) and good humour? :D

You did forget to mention another BP winner, our very own Baz (good to meet you today) with some very entertaining driving through and out of the first chicane.

Shame about the Corsa but Roger will be back as strong and unhinged as before :D

Another great day's motorsport. Roll on Debden next week, where things could be very different.

 Cheers guys! Great write up too Stu. :thumb: Good to meet you too Gerry!

Had a brilliant day, not just from the results side of things but had so much fun dicking about in the car today aswel, particularly on the non-counting 3rd run, not the fastest way round but sideways is definitely most exhilerating!!

Dad also did better than usual, getting more & more used to my car now, 3rd in the class. :)

Just 6pts behind the S2000 in champ. now, so looking forward to Debden!

Well done everyone!

@Pablo, I've got video, just working out how to edit and compress it. Will post as soon as it's done. (And yes, Stuart's homage to EDC is on there!!)
